CPL vs CPA vs Cost per Deal
Cost per lead is the vanity metric. What you actually care about is cost per contract. A $25 CPL that converts at 0.5% ($5,000/contract) is worse than a $75 CPL that converts at 3% ($2,500/contract).
Exclusive vs shared leads
Exclusive leads close 3-5x higher than shared. If you're comparing two providers, always ask how many other buyers receive the same contact.
